Number one: Workout your chest twice per week, with two to three days of rest in between. Working out your chest every day or even every other day leads to over training. Number two: Perform light bench presses. One or two light sets of bench presses with a very comfortable weight will promote the flow of blood to your chest, your shoulders, and your arms. Also, light bench presses will enable you to stretch more comfortably and safely.
Number three: Stretch your upper body. Stretching and warming up before moving into heavy lifting will keep you from having to miss workouts because of soreness or injury. Number four: Perform proper bench presses. Because it incorporates the chest, shoulders, and arms, the ultimate test of upper body strength and the ultimate builder of chest muscle is the flat bench press. However, you can also vary your bench press workouts with the incline bench press and the decline bench press. The incline bench press will help to work the upper part of your chest, while the decline bench press will help to develop the lower part of your chest.
Number five: Add dumbbells to your routine. By using dumbbells, you will activate more stabilizing muscles and you will be able to build more muscle mass due to a longer range of motion. The dumbbell fly can be performed either on a flat bench or on an inclined bench.
